Slaying Life's Dragons

Dragons are real! The Bible talks about throwing battle axes at leviathans and seeing them bounce off. I envision this T-REX with lightning leaping from its mouth, flames and fire flashing out, and smoke streaming from its nostrils (Job 41:18-20).

The Bible talks about real fire-breathing (worse than my husband’s breath in the morning), hard- to-kill dragons.

If God talks about these monstrous beings in so many places in scripture, I think HE wants to prepare us for some pretty tough battles.

We are going to face things in life that are bigger than us. These dragons will tempt you to run and hide in fear, but you have to MEET them head on.

God does not want us to live in FEAR: That is Letting the Dragon Win.

“There is no fear in love. But perfect love drives out fear.” – 1 John 4:18

With GOD on our side, WE WILL defeat our dragons. What we face may be bigger than us, but it is not bigger than Christ.

Pray where you are: Now, I will slay the dragon in my life with God’s help. The dragon is big, but not bigger than him. I am armed with the sword of the Spirit. Because God is with me, he has good things for me: a future, a hope, and an expected end. God loves me ferociously, so much so that he sent Jesus to die for me.
