Sometimes when you have a crazy schedule you do what you can to make life work. So, we have Ashtyn home-schooled. I don’t teach her, myself, because I really want her to be smart. (Lol)
Mayra, here at the church, does a wonderful job tutoring Ashtyn for us. The other day, Mayra told me a story about a friend of hers.
It seems, that when Mayra was in junior high, she would always tell her friend, “Marianne, I’m praying for you!”
Marianne’s like… “Whatever.”
Every now and then, Mayra would say, “You wanna go to church with me?”
Marianne would be like, “No, I’m good.”Mayra would just say, “That’s cool!”
When they got in high school, Mayra would still say, “Marianne, I’m praying for you. You wanna go to church with me?”
Marianne would say, “No thanks, I’m good.”
Even in their freshman year of college, Mayra kept saying, “Marianne, I’m praying for you! Do you wanna go to church with me?”
Marianne still said, “No, I’m good.”
Then one day, out of the blue, Mayra got a phone call. It was Marianne.
“Mayra… I REALLY need you to pray for me!”
So, they went to dinner and talked about God and all that was going on in Marianne’s life.
It may seem to you like a relationship is stuck in limbo and going NOWHERE. But, God keeps people in our lives for a purpose.
Mayra had been praying for her friend for over FOUR YEARS! In a car on the parking lot of TGI Fridays, Marianne, finally, met JESUS!
Don’t GIVE UP! Nothing God does is by accident.
Jesus IS the resurrection… and He’s working on bringing something BACK TO LIFE for you!

I’ve been praying and believing for family salvation and for my family to get closer, since I am the only one that knows Jesus, and I came to know Him myself and my family think I’m crazy. However, I’ve seen my family get closer, although it’s been through adverse circumstances and things are seemingly getting much harder in the family and I am finding it increasingly more difficult to be “the Christian” when things go wrong and I just don’t know what to do or say most of the time. But I’m trusting God to transform my families lives, particularly the Ferguson/O’Dowd/Stephenson family. Which consists of my grandmother Sylvia, me (Katie), my sister Nyomi, niece Lia-Rose, mother Shona, cousin Lucy, and brother Dariusz. Prayers are so much appreciated!
