I bet you don’t hear that too often.
For most, Mondays represent a return to the work week.
And that’s no fun, or is it?
Work occupies so much of our lives.
I realize that it’s difficult to feel fulfilled sitting in a cubicle all day.
It doesn’t help that many corporations consider employee happiness a low priority to their bottom line.
But even if you’re doing what you’ve always wanted to do, I know from firsthand experience that “work” can sometimes become mundane, boring, and uninspiring.
It’s no different for farmers, athletes, or leading executives. Sometimes, you just want to call in sick.
If you’re having one of those days or if you’ve been dragging, let me reassure that you can choose to be happy.
>Happiness Starts With You
James wrote that we should “Count it all joy” (James 1:2), and that includes our workday.
In those moments when you feel discouraged, depressed, unworthy, or bored – count it all joy!
It’s your decision. So decide right now.
- Decide you are going to have a great day!
- Decide that you are going to be productive and enjoy your job.
- Decide to be thankful.
“And whatever you do, do it heartily, as to the Lord and not to men…” Colossians 3:23 (NKJV)
If you do these things, I promise that your workday will fly by (and you will enjoy it).
On the other hand, if we don’t make a choice to be happy, then we risk falling into a negative cycle that leads to unproductiveness and depression.
So today I want to challenge you that even though it’s Monday, enjoy this great day God has given us.
Love it! Yeah, thank God it IS Monday! What a simple step, adjustment. Thanks!
And making it even better… We get to celebrate tomorrow with y’all in Palm Beach County! So blessed Faith Church is here!
Have a fab day!
Yay! So excited that you’re coming!
Thank you for the positive words for a Monday. U always make me feel better.
That makes me so happy to hear. 🙂 Thank you!
Smile and the whole world smiles with you! It’s all a mind set but often my mind can be my biggest enemy and recognizing that is the biggest thing.
