Do you feel like you’re wandering around in life?
I do.
Seriously.
Believe it or not… everybody does.
No matter how well planned we think we might have our life or business, we all veer off the road of destiny just a little bit.
Are you a good driver? I know you think you are because we all think we are good drivers.
As we are driving, answering our cell phone, changing the radio station and drinking our coffee – we honk, we yell, “Stupid Driver” at some poor guy who made a mistake on the highway by getting out of his lane and off his path. And we were doing the same thing!
We all wander off the path a little bit.
It is God’s voice that will keep us right on the direct path to our destiny and His blessing. But His path is not always what we think it is.
“For my thoughts are not your thoughts,
neither are your ways my ways,”
declares the Lord.“As the heavens are higher than the earth,
so are my ways higher than your ways
and my thoughts than your thoughts.”— Isaiah 55:8-9 (NIV)
We don’t think like God thinks. We don’t have ideas like God has ideas. God can see the end of a thing from the beginning. We’re not rewarded for our intentions; we are rewarded for our completions.
We need to insert God into every part of our plan.
Every part includes when we’re examining where we’re at, making our goals, and making plans on how we are going to get there. Then, we need to prayerfully plan along with what God has called us to do.
“Listen for God’s voice in everything you do, everywhere you go; He’s the one who will keep you on track (or path).” — Proverbs 3:6 (MSG)
Thursday, we are going to talk about sitting down and writing a detailed plan on how we are going to get to our goals. Goals are great, but without a plan they will never leave the paper you wrote them on.
Want to reach your goals in life? Start thinking right now about how you are going to get there. And don’t miss this Thursday’s blog.

My number one goal is to have a greater love for and relationship with God. Since graduating from school, I had to take some time off to find myself and find what I needed to do next to really feel complete and make the next steps in my life count. I know that I have been called to do something great, bit I didn’t wanna jump in and find myself surrounded by all these great things but still not satisfyed and wanting more. Another goal of mine is to get out of debt! Being in school had set me back some but I have a plan! I have a dry erase board with all my debts and savings and I have another with my monthly schuedule on it. Little by little I make payments and save. Last thing I will say is if you are looking for that next step there’s a really great book I’ve been reading. It’s called, Success is not a Spectator Sport, by Charles M. Marcus. He is a motivational speaker that came to my school. This book really breaks down what success means to YOU because everyone’s is different. He helps you tackle your fears, helps you adjust your attitude with things and reminds you that set backs do come along the way but take it as a valuable learning experience. Thanks for the blog Nicole! Can’t wait for Thursday’s!
Natalie –
WOW! Girl, you have a plan and you are working it!
I’m glad you took a moment to breathe after school. Making the right choice now and being led by God to where He wants you is missions critical!
My son just graduated from college in May. He started his job mid-late August. He breathed. He prayed. He waited on God. He landed in the right place! Great wisdom girl!
Then a plan to get out of debt???? WORK THAT!!!!! You have a great head on your shoulders.
I am going to get the book that you recommended. If you are a reader, I also have some recommendations. Interested?
