It starts fun and ends up painful
Did you ever ride a bicycle growing up? I remember riding and I also remember falling. I was riding one day when I turned a corner and hit a patch of gravel. It seemed like slow motion as my bike slid out from under me, and I hit the ground hard! I can STILL SEE THE SCAR on my knee.
I could have stopped bicycle riding forever because I fell once and got hurt.
Or I could be a GREAT bicycle rider because I learned avoid the ‘gravel patch’ and to side step those potential painful moments in life. I could be GREAT because I LEARNED from the experience AND GOT BETTER!
How do you handle YOUR pain?
Have you ever fallen and gotten hurt? Did you think, “If I get up again, I’ll just fall and get hurt, so why bother?”
Why? Because YOU have purpose!
For I know the plans I have for you, plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future. (Jeremiah 29:11)
And I am certain that God, who began the good work within you, will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns. (Philippians 1:6)
YOU have purpose!
No matter what you’ve been through or what your circumstances look like, God has a plan to work out in your life. He has a special purpose for you. You have something that is unique to you that can be compared to no one else.
So HOLD ONTO YOUR HOPE and look to the future. And no matter what, keep getting up and don’t let the pain stop you! I know I won’t!

Nicole, thank you for the message. I needed that today!! Your timing was perfect.
Pain can be looked at in many ways! So, it is up to me to decide how I will handle it! a) take two tylenol, b) go to the chiropractor, c) crawl in bed, d) give it to God and work through the pain with his guidance! I choose D. Through the pain something is always learned.
“D” is the perfect choice every time! God can always handle it better than we can!
