Take a second to read verses 1-5 in the picture. It will take like 60 seconds…I’ll wait 🙂
It say, “As it began to dawn.”
It was dark there too. They weren’t able to see the way out right in that moment.
And the light didn’t come on at once.
It BEGAN to dawn.
They saw the light BEGIN to come up (the sun (son) begin to rise, I could think about that for an hour!). And yet, something shakes them up.
Instead of standing on solid ground, an earthquake happens. Not what they THOUGHT they needed right then. They probably thought, “How could this be happening TOO??? I’m not in a good place right now. I don’t need this!”
But when God shakes something up, it’s good even when it scares us. No earthquake, no stone rolled away. We see something that frightens us. God sees a way where there was no way.
There is an angel (someone sent by God), who told them not to be afraid…..which was something easier said than done, I’m sure.
The angel gave them direction, and they followed. Right away. And it led them straight to Jesus, which is where God wanted them. And believe it or not, they were still scaredeven when they got to Jesus! Even Jesus himself had to tell them not to be afraid.
All that to say this, the road God has for us takes immense bravery. It gets dark and things get shaken up. But then we meet Jesus on the road He has us on. It’s still scary. But what a wonderful, beautiful experience.
Don’t quit. I see the BEGINNING of light coming on your horizon now.
