Do we believe that when a mountain appears on the horizon, our forward progress is OVER?
Do we believe that when the “chips are down” there’s no way to get things BACK in our favor?
Jesus guaranteed us that disappointments, obstacles, troubles, and distractions would come…BUT!!!
Canceled!
Do you know what they say when someone uses the word “BUT” in a sentence?
It means that everything before it gets CANCELED out.
“…In this world you will have trouble.” “But take heart! I have overcome the world.” John 16:33 (NIV)
We wouldn’t be who we are today if not for the past. BUT thank God, our FUTURE is not based on our past!
God is on our side!
Our BEST days and BLESSED days are still out ahead of us! According to Jeremiah 29:11, He has wonderful plans for us!
“For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.” (NIV)
God’s thoughts are NOT our thoughts, and God’s ways are not our ways. So we can’t LIMIT God’s plan for our lives to the way WE think God should do it!
Our future is so BRIGHT that we’ve got to wear shades! Okay, that one’s not in the Bible. But I think it applies in this instance!
If these words of encouragement are speaking to your heart, then I want to invite you to join me this Friday night at the “Paint the Town Pink” event.
We’ll be celebrating the survivors among us; cancer survivors, emotional survivors, bankruptcy survivors, survivors of abuse and neglect and survivors of all kinds of heartache!
If you’re a survivor looking to become someone who thrives, then meet me at the Earth City campus at 7:30 this Friday for an injection of encouragement and hope in your life!
I’m looking forward to the I am woman meeting this Friday Pastor Nicole because my friend mom got diagnosed with breast cancer three years ago and now she is cancer free. God is so good.
So good to hear that she is a survivor! Love it!
Pastor Nicole—this was such a great message, and timely! I absolutely hate that I cannot make it to the event this weekend. My daughter is performing at a half time football game, but if I could I would be there. I already had my Audrey Hepburn outfit together! Maybe I’ll wear it to church Saturday night 😉 If someone out there is reading this blog, and are debating on whether or not to attend this event. STOP DEBATING!!! This is the BEST group of women around, and you will be forever changed!
Thanks so much for the kind, encouraging, supportive words about our event! It’s going to be fun! Enjoy your daughter’s performance!
Hey Nicole Love the Counterfeit Culture story inspiring and incerdibly good. Anyway cant wait till tonight see u then at the girls thing wear pink. Im gonna wear pink. Anyway see u later.
Thank for your sermon at The I Am Woman event last night Pastor Nichole. It literally made me break down. I have never had much confidence in myself thanks to men in my past. I am trying very hard to improve this and I believe that with the help of The Lord, I will achieve it. I am so thankful my roommate brought me to Faith Church, I have been looking for a new home and family, and I think I have found it.
