The voice of one person can change your destiny.
Listening to the right people can make the difference on whether your DREAM and what you have worked so hard for comes true, or goes by the way side.
When Martin Luther King Jr. was preparing in Washington to 250,000 people, his advisors told him to stick to the political speech and points that they had decided he needed to make.
After all, the odds were against him.
He was last in a long line up of speakers.
Everyone expected the media to be gone by then.
He only had 5 minutes to make his points.
They told him that he better go in focused on the agenda at hand.
It seemed like solid advice and he intended to follow it.
What Happened
He was on the stage, delivering his points (which none of us remember), trying to make his time (which in retrospect didn’t matter since he was last), and was very professional – and UNMOVING. No one was DREAMING of the future that he was talking about.
Then a woman, on the sidelines, Mahalia Jackson, said out loud to him, “Tell them about the DREAM Martin.”
He hadn’t prepared for it, he didn’t have any notes for it – but the words of encouragement caused him to leap into action…and delivered what is called the greatest speech of the 20th century.
“I have a DREAM!” he said, and people perked up. People were moved to want the DREAM that Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. described enough to begin dreaming it THEMSELVES and moving toward it.
All because one voice, one woman, said “Tell them about the dream.”
What About YOU?
My prayer is to be that woman for you today. To encourage you to DREAM again. To reach for it. To see it in living color.
I want YOU to immerse yourself in an environment that will make you DREAM again. I want YOU to be inspired to move into the life that God has for YOU. I want YOU to remember that you are a child of the Most High God and that seeds of greatness are on the inside of YOU.

As I read this, tears came to my eyes, and a long sigh escaped from my lips. As if, really don’t know what, but a longing in my heart was felt. I know the spirit in my soul longs for that something out there, showing all of us that we are all part of something big, knowing that we are all loved. Thank you, Pastor Nicole, for being there.
