A feeling that most people have at least once a day for one reason or another.

But I’m not talking about “I dazed out for a minute and where am I again?”. I’m talking about those thoughts that sometimes smack us upside the head out of nowhere and suddenly we are left wondering….

“Why am I here? And where am I going anyway? Does it even matter? Because I’m not sure how much I matter? What I’m doing isn’t significant anyway.”

Many of us get suckered into the mindset that we are tolerated, not celebrated. And quickly our joy, passion, peace and happiness get sucked into a vacuum.

Sound familiar?

You don’t have to raise your hand. But if we were all in a room together (or if you commented “ME!” down below) we would all be able to look around and realize….this is ALL of us!!!!

How Can This Be?

Dumb devil. You might be thinking I just used the devil cop out card, but wait. The Bible says,

“Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith, knowing that the same sufferings are experienced by your brotherhood in the world.” 1Peter 5:8-9 (NKJV)

The jerk enemy doesn’t even have that many plays in his playbook. He just gets really good at a couple of them and uses them on us all.

That’s why I’m so glad that remedy to the attack is listed right there with the info ‘outing’ the devil and his plan.

When the thoughts come, remember EVERY ONE OF US likely had those same thoughts today – from CEO to the guy who didn’t even show.

When the thoughts come, remember WHO they are coming from. The enemy that wants to keep you from the will of God for your life.

When the thoughts come, say out loud (you’re mind has to stop to listen to your words), “These thoughts aren’t mine. They are from the enemy. I have the mind of Christ and He doesn’t say things like that about me!”

“People perish for a lack of knowledge”, says the Bible. My translation is, “You don’t know what you don’t know.”

Now you know. And knowledge is power.

Use those three little steps to put the enemy in his place, below your feet. And to put you back in yours, right in the center of God’s favor – on top and can’t be stopped!
