My whole life, I’ve wanted to trust SOMEONE!
My disappointment started with a dad that left me before I was born. Molestation as a child, being raped at 13, and becoming an unwed mother at 17 just solidified it.
When it came to choosing a spouse, I chose poorly and ended up with a man with addiction issues who became physically ABUSIVE.
My TRUST had completely eroded and that affected my relationship with God. Why trust Him? Everyone else had let me down… including ME!
Then, along came David Crank. He and I had some mutual friends and I kept bumping into him at outings. He persisted in giving me his phone number and I just kept throwing it away.
After all, who can trust a MAN?
But as my trust in God grew… I finally decided to give David a chance. I called.
We had dinner together and he was so charming! (Maybe it would be okay to eat with him again.)
Several months later… we were MARRIED!
There are people out there who WANT to love us! But if we keep them at arm’s length – they never get the chance.
Just because someone has broken your heart, betrayed you, or hurt you, in the PAST… it doesn’t mean that everyone will.
Trust God! He loves you and NEVER stops!
You may feel rejected, today. You may be like me. You may have been hurt SO BADLY that you think having NO relationships is better than any relationship.
Believe me! I understand what it feels like to HURT. I also understand what it feels like to be healed.
Healed feels MUCH better!
