Wow! What a year!
I’m not sure what the holidays were supposed to look like, this year! But somehow, everything felt just a little— different.
People are being told that they can’t travel, they can’t visit their families, they can’t go to church, and worst of all—they can’t WORSHIP.
WHAT?
How are we supposed to celebrate the birth of Jesus without WORSHIP? We know—sometimes, we don’t measure up. We really don’t feel worthy. We think we can’t worship because:
- We had a little too much to DRINK last night.
- We’re SLEEPING with our boyfriend or girlfriend.
- We’re still using DRUGS, occasionally.
- We’ve been watching PORN on the internet.
- We’re so stinking mad at them… we just CAN’T worship!
One day on my front porch, God said to me, “Your worship is your WARSHIP! The battle is not yours—it’s Mine!”
In the Bible, the worshipers always went out BEFORE the warriors. Our worship goes out ahead of us when we feel insecure, outclassed, or outnumbered.
When we prepare to do battle, our worship is the best, most indestructible, immovable weapon of all! We don’t have to feel worthy— all we have to do is SHOW UP!
“Oh, I turn on the TV and I just worship in my house!”
There’s a BIG difference! When we show up, we’re declaring, “I’m not afraid! It’s ME, Lord. I’m here and I trust You!”
So don’t forget to worship, this season. Your praise is a sweet spiritual sound that has the power to SHAKE heaven and vibrate a building right off its foundation!
Stay CLOSE to the safeness and the sanctity of God— and allow Him to fight your battles!
