This is me… the flower girl at my mom and dad’s wedding!
What a weird moment, right? That stuff usually happens BEFORE we’re born.
I guess I could go around regretting the history I have, being aggravated that my life wasn’t like most people’s.
Or I can EMBRACE it!
I can revel in the fact that I actually got to go to my mom and dad’s wedding. Not many kids get to do that.
I have faint memories of dancing at the wedding, feeling like I was SO beautiful. I remember thinking I was dancing pretty good! (at 3 years-old?) lol
I also remember getting hauled off the dance floor. (I guess I wasn’t quite as good as I thought.)
I wouldn’t have any of those precious memories if my life was exactly like everyone else’s.
Are you unlike other people you know?
- Have you lived in a lot of different places?
- Do you come from a blended or patched together family?
- Has God really helped you through some tough stuff?
Congratulations! You’ve probably got a lot of insight into many different areas of life! CELEBRATE that!
What’s different about your life has provided you with WISDOM you might not have if you were just like everyone else.
You’re special! God is always looking for people He can use, people that have some REAL life experiences they can share to help others!

Is there something different about you that might help someone else? Tell us.
That’s why God had me write down the story of my life in my new book, “I Will Thrive.”
He knew that if I was honest and transparent about my struggles, that my story would ring true with a lot of other people. (People who still have junk in their past that they need to get over.)
