I remember the first time I ever got to PET A SHARK.
Yeah, you heard me right.
OK, they weren’t the giant Jaws-like great white sharks. They were a lot smaller and gentler nurse sharks. But, they still had plenty of sharp teeth!
Actually, 2 of my friends got bitten by the sharks!
Then, on top of that, I saw a video on YouTube of a diver rolling off his boat right onto the back of a great white! OMG!!!
(Note to self: I’m a diver but I won’t ever be the first one in the water!)
No matter how choppy the waves and dark and scary the skies look… it always AMAZES me how unbelievably beautiful it is just 80 ft. below the surface! It’s like being in a peaceful tropical WONDERLAND that God created just for me!
So why did I let the FEAR of shark bite keep me away from what I love for a whole year???? I DO really LOVE to dive! I CAN’T let fear hold me back!
God tells us to FEAR (LESS)! “For I am the Lord, your God, who takes hold of your right hand and says to you, do not fear; I will help you.” (Isaiah 41:13)
· Fear will keep us from meeting new and interesting people.
· Fear will keep us from going on exciting new adventures.
· Fear will keep us from stepping out and living the wonderful lives that God has planned for us!
Fear can change our entire behavior… and that’s a BIGGER DANGER than any great white!

Fear has held me bondage for many years now. I was involved in a fatal accident caused by the deceased. However, I suffer with anxiety and had panic attacks as well. I dont drive the highway, I dont drive the street the accident was on I have altered my route tremendously.
I Pray, I listen to you, Pastor David, but I am still stuck in Fear. I really want my life to be back like it was the day before this person hit me. My life has been changed upside down due to that day, October 31, 2000.
I questioned God, Why and How did I survive???????
Please Pray my Strength.
