One day, I was in my office talking with a few single people. They were all bright, thin, and good-looking. They had great personalities and an even better social lives!

(I was starting to get jealous.)

Even all their Instagram pictures had the same look and filter. How can they be so…TOGETHER?

But then, the conversation drifted.

One person mentioned how LONELY single life could be. Then the others chimed in that they felt the same way.

ARE YOU KIDDING ME RIGHT NOW?

I was pretty shocked to learn that those high caliber singles (with very “together” lives) felt that way!

Being married for years and living with a house full of my family (which IS my dream), I was trying to remember how that felt.

Because at this point in my life, I can only IMAGINE a few moments to myself… to do what I want to do… when I want to do it… in peace and quiet!

(Isn’t it funny, how we always desire the opposite of what we actually have?)

But I have to tell you, it’s not the job of someone else to make US happy. Rather, it’s up to us to find our happiness in CHRIST!

If we want any of our relationships to mesh (including our relationship with ourselves) we have to develop our relationship with God, FIRST!

Without His encouragement, we lack confidence and doubt our very purpose. (I’m not sure how I ever made it through the times when I strayed from Him.)

God’s love is not like human love. It’s a love that lasts FOREVER… guaranteed!

The good news is; God NEVER denies us relationship with Him! If we’ll turn back to Him, in repentance, He will forgive us, accept us and restore our relationship, INSTANTLY!
