A LOT of things can go wrong at 180 miles-an-hour!
(That’s right. This girl’s got the need… the need for SPEED!)
Can you believe it? I actually got to drive a real NASCAR race car at the Talladega Superspeedway!
Then REALITY set in… when they shared some critical information.
Oh, by the way… there’s a 33-degree bank on the track. If I hit it from a flat spot… I was going straight into the wall! YIKES!!!
When it was my turn, I started feeling all this crazy PRESSURE!
I tried not to think about all the people that had died on that course, over the years, from just ONE wrong move.
(Umm… I’m not a professional. Should I really be doing this?)
Well, thankfully, there was this guy (my spotter) about a mile away, keeping a close eye on me. He could see the WHOLE track from where he was.
His voice in my ear was telling me exactly what TO do, what NOT to do… and making sure I got where I needed to go. (What a relief!)
The thing was, I was trusting him with my LIFE! Some random guy I’ve never even met.
That got me thinking.
Do we trust the Voice of God, whom we’ve never seen? Or, do we just speed off on our own… going our own way to CRASH and BURN?
Sometimes, life feels like it’s going TOO fast and we’re completely out of control!
But God, who sees the ENTIRE track of our life, from start to finish, will guide us through safely.
TRUST GOD and enjoy the wild adventures of your life at 180 mph!
