One day, I was out to lunch and I guess I wasn’t in the best of moods. I was having a really BAD day and allowing that to affect my attitude.
Some people seated a couple of tables over recognized me and started smiling and waving. I just kind of looked back and smiled slightly, but I’m sure I wasn’t as friendly as they expected me to be.
After a few minutes, I decided, “Okay Nicole… time to adjust your sour attitude.”
I jumped up and went over to entertain their table for a minute or two. (After all, I have a responsibility to actually BE the person I advertise.)
Smiling and having joy and enthusiasm is NEVER the result of our current circumstances. (We all know people who have a great life and a horrid personality.)
It’s ALWAYS a choice we consciously make for ourselves.
The word “enthusiasm”comes from the Greek word “entheous” which means, “God within” or “full of God”.
As Christians, we should be the most enthusiastic people on earth! Our every task and movement should be FOR the Lord with ultimate joy!
“Work with enthusiasm, as though you were working for the Lord rather than for people.” (Ephesians 6:7)
The fact is, the way we’re feeling NOW, in the moment, will change. And later, we’ll regret allowing our mood to affect our MOJO.
Make the choice to keep a smile on your face, a skip in your step, and God’s JOY in your heart!!!
Have you ever had to talk yourself into an attitude adjustment? (Raise your hand.) What made you change your mind?

Thank you for the reminder!????
Thank you for the message and I had to reflect upon it from within myself. God Bless you and pastor Dave.
This resonate with me I will use it to improve my life.
Jan 2019 I was diagnosed with stage 3 rectal cancer & began a journey with Jesus I never saw coming. Sometimes my attitude & point of view are not based on Jesus Joy the Word but how my body might be feeling that day. I know that Jesus was made a curse for me and His stripes have made me whole (Gal 3:13-14 & Isa 53:4-5). I get frustrated because I’m ready to have my life back & the wholeness manifestion seems slow. Please keep me in prayer for patience, wholeness, and strength. Jesus finished works are finished. Be blessed Pastor Nicole and keep on sharing Jesus heart with us, it really means alot.
