Still Waters Run Deep

I’m a scuba diver. My husband is a scuba diver ONLY because he’s clingy and always wants to go with me. :). One of the million reasons I love him.

A few years ago, we went diving when the waves were rolling and It was kind of ROUGH.

David said, “I can’t go down there like this. I’m just going to stay up here on the boat.”

I said, “That’s cool. But I’m going down and swim with the fishes.”

Just Below The Surface
I jumped in and only went down about 40 feet and it was AMAZING!

Down there, it was smooth and clear and so CALM. I was having the BEST time!

After about an hour, it was time to come up. A STORM had come through, and now 4 ft high waves were rocking the boat back and forth.

I climbed back on board and asked David, “Hey Baby, how are you doing?”

While turning 5 shades of green he said, “Oh, I’m not feeling so good! I think we’re going to have to go because my breakfast is about to come UP.”

A Steady Anchor
That got me thinking.

While David was up top, while he was SHALLOW, because he didn’t bother to go deep (this is a deep statement matter of fact) things got kind of ROUGH!

But down where I was, it was calm, and anchored, and had complete PEACE OF MIND!

“This hope is like a firm and steady anchor for our souls…” Hebrews 6:19 (CEV)

We don’t have to be afraid of anything!

“Don’t be afraid. I am with you…” Isaiah 41:10 (CEV)

That’s why it’s SO important to:

  • Go to CHURCH.
  • Open that BIBLE.
  • LEARN The Word.
  • Spend TIME with God.
  • GO DEEPER!!!

Because down, just a little bit deeper, we are anchored in God and we have PEACE!

Prayer For Today
“Father God, thank you, that when we face fearful, rough waters, You are the anchor of our souls. Down deep in You, we have perfect peace. In Jesus’ name.”

The devil has been attacking my family every day. With my sister having cancer, my brother having server breathing problem and all of us being finally broke. I truly believe my faith is so strong in the Lord Satan trues another way to loose my faith. I stay constantly stay in His word and praise him for all the blessings he has given me and my family. I have faith that i will beat Satan.
