It’s Okay To Say I Can’t

It's Okay To Say I Can't

There’s one thing I know.

No matter how many friends we have…

No matter how much money is in the bank…

No matter how successful we think we are…

We all need a Savior.

If you’re like me, I’m sure you’ve had those moments when you thought, “God, I can handle this on my own.”

“You don’t need to get involved this time. I can do it.”

Then just as we think we’ve got it all together, it all comes tumbling down.

You see, houses built on the sand of our own self-effort collapse in the storm. That’s just the way the world works.

But houses built on the Rock will never fall. (Matthew 7:24-27)

It’s Okay To Say I Can’t Do This On My Own
It’s okay to admit, “I don’t know what to do next.” It’s okay to be vulnerable.

God never intended for us to go through this life on our own. He doesn’t expect us to have it all figured out.

That’s why His mercies are new every morning. (Lamentations 3:23)

That’s why His power is made perfect in our weakness. (1 Corinthians 12:9)

That’s why He is the God of the hills and the valleys. (1 Kings 20:28)

You see, when we are weak, He is strong. When we are discouraged, He is our Comforter. When all hell seems to be breaking loose, He is the peace that surpasses all understanding.

We All Need A Savior
At one time or another, we will all reach a point when we come to the end of ourselves.

It’s in this moment that we are able to cry out to God, “Save me.” It’s in this moment that it’s no longer our will, but His will. It’s in this moment that we give ourselves away.

Today, I want to invite you to quit struggling in your own self-effort. I want to invite you to look to Jesus.

He has the answer. All you have to do is ask.

Prayer For Today
Lord, help me to depend more on you today. Help me to realize that nothing is too small for you. You are my Savior. Thank you for saving me from my sin and from every challenge that presents itself today! I receive your wisdom, protection, and favor. In Jesus Name, Amen.
