It never ceases to amaze me…
I’m waiting on the ground for a flight.
I look up to see dark clouds and rain.
Then we board and it’s not long until we’re flying through the clouds.
It’s not long until we’re beyond the storm and in the midst of beautiful sun-filled sky.
I’ve come to realize that no matter what it looks like on the ground, there is always sunshine above the clouds.
What Are You Expecting?
Rain… thunderstorms… a gloomy forecast?
The Bible says “..that as a man thinks, so is he.” (Proverbs 23:7) What are you thinking?
- Are you thinking that you’ve missed your opportunity?
- Are you stuck in an endless cycle of negative thoughts and emotions?
- Are you worried about your family? Your marriage? Your finances? Your health?
- Have you been given a bad report? You don’t have to accept it.
Joshua and Caleb didn’t accept the negative report. While everyone else said it couldn’t be done, they trusted in the LORD and took Him at His word. (Numbers 14)
- If God says He will not abandon you, then surely He will not. (1 Samuel 12:22)
- If God says you are holy and righteous, then surely you are. (Hebrews 10:10)
- If God says you can do all things through Christ, then surely you can. (Philippians 4:13)
Will You Take God At His Word?
Or will your mind stay focused on your present circumstance? You were created to be an optimist.
You see, an optimist sees an opportunity in every calamity. A pessimist finds a calamity in every opportunity.
While I think it’s irresponsible to pretend as if our circumstances do not exist or to ignore symptoms all together, I want you to know that our God is bigger than anything we will ever face.
If followed by action, caution is smart. But don’t allow fear to paralyze you into inaction.
Faith without action is dead (James 2:17) and out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks (Luke 6:45), so let your words reflect your living faith.
You Are Healed
If you are having health issues right now, cultivate your healing by living as though you’ve already been cured. Give thanks to the Lord for the healing that you have received.Notice I didn’t say to give thanks to the Lord for the healing you are going to receive. Give thanks to the Lord for the healing you have already received… in Jesus name!
Do you remember the little red engine? It would say, over and over, “I think I can.”
We need to have an “I think I can” attitude. We need to start and end our day saying, “I am healed and I am blessed.”
If we do not think we can, then we won’t. That’s all there is to it.
You see, everything we do or don’t do begins with a thought. Our thoughts influence our actions.
Our actions become habits. Our habits determine our personality and our character (who we are).
So Who Are You?
Are you more than a conqueror? Can you do all things through Christ who strengthens you?
God has given you the power to move mountains. You can be who you want to be.
So let me ask you, who do you want to be?
I am blessed and highly favored and I will stand on the promises of GOD that are in the bible. I will walk in Faith!
