DON'T MISS A THING!

I’m NOT an early girl. My family works the 2nd shift. We stay late and we get home late. A lot of times, it’s…8…9…10 o’clock at night.

By the time I wind down, it’s usually midnight or 1 o’clock in the morning. So I don’t get up a 5:00 am.

But in the morning, an EASY thing that I do before my feet hit the floor is; I try to think of 10 things that I can be thankful for.

It only takes about 60 seconds, but it sets the tone for my WHOLE DAY! Then I grab my coffee and my Bible.

Psalm 63:1 says, “…Early will I seek You…”

What’s your “early”? What time do you get up? Maybe you work 3rd shift. Maybe your “early” is 4 o’clock in the afternoon.

I challenge you to start your day with a NEW habit. Put a sticky note next to your bed to remind you… “What can I be thankful for?”

In our brains, those FIRST little baby thoughts are neurogenesis thoughts. They form a channel in our brain and create a path that puts our thoughts in motion.

Whenever we approach God, we’re supposed to come in with praise and THANKFULNESS.

“Let us come before His presence with thanksgiving; let us make a joyful noise to Him with songs of praise!” Psalm 95:2 (AMPC)

18% of Americans are on anxiety medication. Being thankful relieves anxiety. Try practicing some contagious thankfulness.

You’re TOO BLESSED to be stressed!

Can you list 10 things that you have to be thankful for? How about 5?

    Hi Nicole,
I have been a Christian since I was 9 years old, but in some years ago I had a surgery that went wrong. I was in a lot of pain. I could sleep from midnight to 4 AM then I just had to get up. During this time I needed to hear from God so I would get my Bible and go to my quiet spot. I would tell God that I needed to hear from Him. As I read and prayed, he always showed up.

Even today as I now awaken again at 4 AM I do the same. It is amazing how he has taught me during these times and revealed myself to me so that I could learn how to obtain the grace of God.

I enjoy your posts and hope to return to read more.

Beautiful post and feedback above. I, too, enjoy reading your posts. I would like to begin blogging – for work (I’m a high schoolteacher) and I’ve read that it’s very easy to start; but I also want to make a profit. Any first steps?

I do not make any profit off my blogs so I have no advice there. Share your life and your heart.
