Science has finally caught up with the Bible. If you read about the brain, it says that the reticular activating system (RAS) is a portion of our brain that regulates our breathing, wakefulness, and other things.

It doesn’t know the difference between reality and our future goals. If we say it, we ingest it, and our brain begins working to make it happen.

So we can deliberately program our RAS by speaking positively about the things that we want to accomplish. Which is why God tells us to speak His Word over our life.

It believes the messages we give it, but if our self-image does not align with our goals, the RAS will block the message from reaching our subconscious. It is that type of thinking that blocks us from reaching our goals.

It doesn’t know when we are joking. All it knows is we said, “I never get it right”. And it goes to work to bring it to pass.

If we say things like, “I can’t handle this, and I’m so overwhelmed” then that is what continues to happen.

If we say, “I need to be strong right now.” Our body responds. Imagine if we said ONLY the things the Bible says about us. “I am a child of the Most High King. I am an overcomer. With long life will He satisfy me and show me His salvation. Healing is the children’s bread. My God shall supply all of my needs according to His riches in glory.” What POWER would be unleashed?!?!

Say it with me, “My words are POWERFUL.” The Bible reads, Death and life are in the power of the tongue. (Proverbs 18:21) We have what we say.

How are you using your tongue to shape your day?
