Lately, I’ve been trying to encourage you to get really serious about spending a few minutes each morning alone with God.
But often, it seems we spend much of our time complaining or just issuing our “wish list” for the day. Then we tie it all up in a neat little package and put a bow on it, “In Jesus’ Name, AMEN!”
WHEW! Done! 10-4 God, over-and-out! Said prayers…check! Then we get busy and kind of FORGET about talking to Him for the rest of the day.
You know, WE may sign-out of the conversation, but God NEVER leaves our side!
His Spirit is always right there (like our own personal assistant) to help us WHEREVER we need to go and with WHATEVER we need to do, throughout the day.
- Preparing for work…He’s there!
- Dropping the kids at school…. He’s there!
- Running errands…He’s there!
- Working on that big project at the office…He’s there!
WE may forget to acknowledge Him, but He’s STILL there, BLESSING us as we run around and just DO life.
“Blessed shall you be when you come in, and blessed shall you be when you go out.” Deuteronomy 28:6
In Hawaii, they use the same greeting “Aloha” whether you’re coming in or whether you’re going out. But the word really means, “Wishing you LOVE, PEACE and COMPASSION.”
Wow! What a nice way to welcome someone in. And what a nice way to BLESS someone as they go on their way.
