Last year, when our family was on vacation in Europe, we flew out of the airport in Italy. It was HUGE! (I definitely wore the wrong shoes that day!)
All the airlines had their own check-in counters, UNLESS you were flying on Delta, American, United or one of the other US airlines.
We had to be escorted through SPECIAL security doors by 3 Italian guards armed with automatic weapons.
That’s because, the threat of terrorism is so much greater if you’re an American.
That’s when it REALLY hit me and I started to get nervous. What am I going to do if a shooter walks in here, right now? (This is how the enemy wants us to start thinking.)
I decided to plan my own exit strategy. Our luggage was disappearing through this little hole in the wall, so I decided, that’s what I’d do. In the event of an emergency, I’d just crawl through that little hole and ESCAPE!
We make our silly little plans. But, God doesn’t want us to run and hide. He wants us to stand up and PRAY!
- Pray, if we’re too scared to leave the house, because there’s a chance we might be pulled over.
- Pray, if we’re terrified at the thought of getting on an airplane, riding the train or taking the bus.
- Pray, if we’re afraid to go to an event, because someone might start shooting or run-us-over with a box truck.
The devil will try to convince us that it’s not even safe to go to church, because he’s trying his best to DIVIDE us and get us to shrink away from God. Don’t believe his LIES!
Fear is the exact opposite of FAITH!
Rise up, STAND STRONG, pray and NEVER EVER give in to fear!

Stand strong with the ONE who has it ALL!
Thank you for being who you are. You and your family have been a blessing to me for the last 7 years. When I first came to Faith church I knew that’s where I belonged. I never knew I belonged anywhere before. I still feel the same. Mom and I are going to Chris tomlins good good father tour this coming Thursday. I have Faith that everything will be great and nothing is going to happen because God is going to have his hand over that arena that night. I just want to say thank you forbeing the people you areand thank you for continuing to treat our church like it’s still small and personable. Lots of love for you and your family!
