I remember when I was staying up late trying to finish the Hi God Book. There were times when I wanted to quit.
David wasn’t happy when I worked until 1:00 or 2:00 am, because he thought I should be sleeping or spending more time with him.
So, it was kind of like having a new baby in the house. He saw it as a little bit of competition. Our conversations sounded something like this.
“I think you need to go to bed.”
“But, I’m working on my book.”
“Do you really have to do that, now?”
“I’m not doing anything bad… I’m just writing a book about Jesus.”
I kept on writing because, I just knew in my heart I was supposed to. I didn’t always want to keep on… I JUST DID!
Later on, God spoke to David and said, “Hey David, you know that book I had Nicole write for Me? I want you to translate it into Spanish and distribute it into Cuba. Those people don’t have access.”
So, God knew exactly what He was doing. He had a master plan over here on the other side that we couldn’t see.
When the pressure gets tight and tense and you want to give up; When the people you love and trust the most are questioning your motives; Don’t quit!
Quitting is NOT an option!
God wants us to KEEP ON! Because even if we fail, we’re still another step closer to SUCCESS!

I am very blessed to work as a producer for a Christian television show so I received a copy of “Hi God” when Nicole was on our show. I think I am on my 3rd or 4th time reading it through. I finish it and just start over. Very practical and inspiring and thought provoking. The book is a TRUE BLESSING. Keep up the good, God-inspired work! Blessings and hugs to you!
Ur so right pastor so many time I just wanted to give up but always bring into my daughter n I the sermon u taught on just 5 more mins of waiting can change alot n it does so when we r going through something and we feel like we wanna give up or get tired we both look at each other n say 5 more mins and laugh cuz that 5 more mon waiting has blessed us with gods blessing for our lifes thank you jesus
Powerful message! This made me think of when I got pregnant a year into college and my ex wanted me to drop out and get a job. Well, 17 years later I didn’t quit. I have a B.S in MIS from UMSL, and a great career in Project managerat at a fortune 500 company. My 16 year old son was at my graduation and has adopted my work ethic. I’ve spoken to groups of people that wanted to hear my story. Imagine if I had quit. Iremember this lesson each time I want to quit that God blesses work not quitting. Look at God!
