In St Louis, our home is 3 WHOLE MILES away from the office. What a horrible commute! Sometimes, I can’t bear the loneliness. lol

So, when I’m coming home from work, you know what I do, as soon as I get to my car? I CALL my husband.

(Is that PATHETIC?)

It’s a 3-minute trip!!! But I DO. I get in the car and I call my man and I talk to him.

I talk to him in the morning. I work with him ALL DAY at the office. Still…I get in my car and I call him.

Why?

Because I LOVE him. I VALUE him. I want to HEAR FROM him. I hope he’s going to tell me something GOOD.

He’s my BEST friend!

That’s exactly how we should feel about our time alone with GOD. We have to allow Him to interrupt our lives, because…

  • He wants to save us PAIN.
  • Save us MONEY.
  • Save us TIME.
  • Save us ANXIETY.
  • Save us STRESS.

God came to seek and SAVE that which was lost. But in order for Him to save us…FIRST, he has to be able to TALK to us.

Prayer is just a fancy word for talking and hanging out with God. We should anxiously be looking forward to our time together.

He LOVES us and we LOVE Him! We’re the BEST of FRIENDS!

Totally agree. When I was dating and married I used to do the same. My friend used to send me cards flowers at work and leave notes on my car. So absolutely beautiful. No person in my life presently. I am not worried about it because I have an inner peace that surpasses all fear and loneliness. I live my life for God.

Thankful for you and Pastor David’s message of love encouragement and service.

FYI For The next church series please place Church Name big and bold on card. to prevent would be visitors and new members. While handing out Heroes card I was asked if my church was called heroes.

I’m so happy for all the married people but I’ve been serving God for 26 years putting him first and he has never blessed me with a husband yet so I really don’t know what it’s like to be that close to him and no one in any church cares to pray for the single mothers and people struggling who want a mate and financially. They say Jesus is my husband that’s true but it’s still not the same as having another person in the flesh standing next to you a covering and whatever else. You are truly blessed!

My Best Friend is my Husband. The minute he leaves for work? We talk the whole way there on the phone, at Lunch, and on his way home from work after a long day. I love this man and he understands me & cannot go one minute without me. We are glued to each other even 28 years later.
